We are beat skippingly excited to introduce you to our new menu this Spring. Out with the old and in with the new, this collection of dishes has more cohesion, more colour and a more refreshing attitude to what eating with your friends is all about. Later this month we'll be hosting a small party in celebration of all things 'new menu'. If you're interested in coming down to preview some of the dishes, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

EVERYBODY LOVES THE SUNSHINE
Could it be? After what has certainly been somewhat of a fruitless slog-out, this brutally bitter winter is finally loosening its grip. Huzzah! Whilst it's been great having everybody huddled up inside of us, we're really a little more about getting into Gin & Tonics in the sunshine. On your marks, let's have a crazy Spring/Summer together.
Plans This Lunch Time?
Any plans for lunchtime this afternoon? We\'ve got a selection of new dishes that we\'re trialling before launching our new menu. Whether you\'re interested in trying our Fish Finger sandwich served with Iceburg Lettuce and Tartare sauce, our Chicken Schnitzel with Fries & Slaw or our new Halloumi and Portobello Mushroom Burger, we\'d like to think that there\'s a little something for everybody to enjoy this Spring. Come down and check them out!
GLUE WITH - WITCH / SUNLESS '97 (THEIDON
BOISE) / OH'MOBBS
Thanks to everybody involved in Friday night's Glue Time; with WITCH, Theidon Boise (Sunless '97) and oh'mobbs in charge of the controls for a party a little harder around the edges than we're usually used to seeing inside TB&TT. If you'd like to get involved in more nights like these or just want to come down and shake it to a more dance orientated Glue Time, get in touch - firstname.lastname@example.org.
A HAPPY BIRTHDAY PARTY
Huge thanks again to everybody that came down to celebrate our first birthday on Friday night at Glue Time, it was one hell of an emotional party romp. Additional props handed out to the guys from Mahogany Blog, Loveless, Second Base and Will Read for the photographs of you partying. So excited to finally see Winter loosen it's miserable grip upon the city. This Spring/Summer is going to be amazing.
TB&TT 1 YEAR OLD
After a lot of late nights, broken glass and an array of general haphazardry; we are an entire YEAR OLD. Without getting too gushy, we really do owe a lot to everybody that's supported us over the past 12 months, from DJs, comedians, staff, yourselves and the occasional handsome dog, it's been a bit of a whirlwind, but a good one. Big love to everybody that's been onboard.
GIRLS BY NOSI IS NOW OPEN
Girls! Debut London exhibition from Manchester based collective ‘Nosi’, explores ideas of femininity and youth, showcasing the work of founding members Cesca Dalla-Riva and Elliott Dowse through an eclectic mix of intimate snapshots and lo-fi portraiture.
Keni Burke is playing at our house, our house. Friday 8th February welcomed the launch of our very own Soul Club and without blowing any kind of Donald Byrd type trumpets, it was really quite a lot of good fun. Thanks to everybody that came along for our selection of rare groove, disco and such, plus a shout out to the Slough Soul Patrol, Oli Fowler and Ro for bringing the rhythms. We're definitely looking to host another party in the Spring time, so keep your eyes peeled.
Comedy at The Blacksmith & The Toffeemaker
Times are tough, Britain. 100% horsemeat, the weather and Eddie the Eagle have all contributed to a rather obscure start to 2013; offering just a sprinkle of reasons as to why we need Comedy at The Blacksmith & The Toffeemaker more than ever! February's event welcomed Ed Gamble, Tom Rosenthal, Adam Hess, Ivo Graham, Sean McGloughlin and host Rhys James for a night of sheer contemporary hilarity, as well as what proved to be somekind of who's who for future Richard Curtis leading bumblers. Too much fun, if anything. Thanks again to Sipsmith for providing the Gin and Will Read for providing the photographs. Announcement for our March date later this week. Stay tuned.
GLUE TIME - EVERY FRIDAY
Glue Time returns this year to offer out indulgent portions of all things goodtime. Last Friday welcomed the launch of our R&B FAVOURITES series to what shall be widely recognised as a standing ovation. Read on to catch up with what's coming up throughout February and in the meantime, enjoy yourself (it's later than you think).
Endless adoration to everybody involved in sticking it to the Mayan's in the name of free love this New Year's Eve. It was a pleasure to have you all onboard. Additional shout out's to Anna Conrad from NME Radar, as well as Glue Time regular's Second Base and Blackadder for providing a circus load of party music. Glue Time returns this Friday with Joseph Hatch and DICE on the buttons, so bring your tap shoes if you're feeling limber enough yet.
PARTY AT OUR HOUSE
Huge thanks to everybody involved in this week's Glue Time, namely the guys at We Are SME and Second Base for providing a carnival of tunes. Thanks for dancing, romancing and generally not breaking anything. All told, it was pretty crazy. We've got a few more parties before the Mayans come and sweep us all up, so keep coming down and shaking your silver hips, yeah? Yeah!
We've spent the weekend decorating. Not just with any old tat you understand, but with an illustrious bounty of escapism, beautiful women and a guy who looks a little bit like Tintin, sprawled decadently and equidistantly across the walls of our back room. It looks well nice. Courtesy of the friendly faces at Brick Lane's Print Club we introduce you to a collection of 10 original prints designed by a group of the city's most interesting illustrators and photographers. Come and check them out sometime and if anything takes your infinite fancy, feel free to make us an offer and take it home.
GREETINGS FROM THE ISLINGTON PING PONG
The ancient art of ping-pong is currently enjoying a renaissance. Unlike fencing or sumo-wrestling, ping-pong is one of those few social pastimes in which two friends can compete frantically and desperately whilst retaining a relatively leisurely exterior and we're a little obsessed.
MODERN LIFE IS NOT SO RUBBISH
A hearty thank you to everybody involved in our Auchentoshan Presents evening held last week. It was certainly refreshing to be surrounded by a group so sartorially inclined amidst a gulf of free whisky. For anybody that managed to miss out, please don\'t leap from anything tall. Just be sure to make the next one. Photos of your pretty faces can be found over on our Facebook page.
Have your party at The B & The T. Whether its 10 or 150 people we can accomodate you and your revellers. The most popular place to hire is the \'back room\' which holds about 75 people, boasts its own private bar and is free to hire! We can also cater for any occasion. Be it grazing stuff for a group of friends to a full 3 course meal at a wedding reception. We have held Mexican themed birthdays, steel drum bands, jazz ensembles and rock n roll nights so whatever you have planned drop us an email at \"email@example.com\":mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org and see what we can do for you.
The Bearded Man: Your New Local Barber
Feeling a little frumpy? Fear not, the illustrious pair of Mr. Joshua Mihan's left and right hands are soon to be gracing The Blacksmith & The Toffeemaker for a master class in affordable and quality barbering. More details to come soon.
AN OPEN SPACE
Artist? Sculptor? Photographer? Host a pop-up exhibition at The Blacksmith & The Toffeemaker. Please contact email@example.comfirstname.lastname@example.org
AN EVENING FOR THE MORE INQUISITIVE OF YOU
Starting this autumn we shall be hosting our very own and mostly traditional take on a well fashioned, British pub quiz. If you have any questions or opinions as to when you think this monthly get together of the brains should commence, please do get in touch. PS there will be a synchronised breakdancing round.
WE DO GLUE
A new weekly event, every Friday, hosted at The Blacksmith & The Toffeemaker, Clerkenwell.
