We are beat skippingly excited to introduce you to our new menu this Spring. Out with the old and in with the new, this collection of dishes has more cohesion, more colour and a more refreshing attitude to what eating with your friends is all about. Huge thanks again to everybody that came down to celebrate our first birthday on Friday night at Glue Time, it was one hell of an emotional party romp. Additional props handed out to the guys from Mahogany Blog, Loveless, Second Base and Will Read for the photographs of you partying. So excited to finally see Winter loosen it's miserable grip upon the city. This Spring/Summer is going to be amazing.

After a lot of late nights, broken glass and an array of general haphazardry; we are an entire YEAR OLD. Without getting too gushy, we really do owe a lot to everybody that's supported us over the past 12 months, from DJs, comedians, staff, yourselves and the occasional handsome dog, it's been a bit of a whirlwind, but a good one. Big love to everybody that's been onboard.

Keni Burke is playing at our house, our house. Friday 8th February welcomed the launch of our very own Soul Club and without blowing any kind of Donald Byrd type trumpets, it was really quite a lot of good fun. Thanks to everybody that came along for our selection of rare groove, disco and such, plus a shout out to the Slough Soul Patrol, Oli Fowler and Ro for bringing the rhythms. We're definitely looking to host another party in the Spring time, so keep your eyes peeled.

Times are tough, Britain. 100% horsemeat, the weather and Eddie the Eagle have all contributed to a rather obscure start to 2013; offering just a sprinkle of reasons as to why we need Comedy at The Blacksmith & The Toffeemaker more than ever! February's event welcomed Ed Gamble, Tom Rosenthal, Adam Hess, Ivo Graham, Sean McGloughlin and host Rhys James for a night of sheer contemporary hilarity, as well as what proved to be somekind of who's who for future Richard Curtis leading bumblers. Too much fun, if anything. Thanks again to Sipsmith for providing the Gin and Will Read for providing the photographs. Announcement for our March date later this week. Stay tuned.

Endless adoration to everybody involved in sticking it to the Mayan's in the name of free love this New Year's Eve. It was a pleasure to have you all onboard. Glue Time returns this Friday with Joseph Hatch and DICE on the buttons, so bring your tap shoes if you're feeling limber enough yet.

We've spent the weekend decorating. Not just with any old tat you understand, but with an illustrious bounty of escapism, beautiful women and a guy who looks a little bit like Tintin, sprawled decadently and equidistantly across the walls of our back room. It looks well nice. Courtesy of the friendly faces at Brick Lane's Print Club we introduce you to a collection of 10 original prints designed by a group of the city's most interesting illustrators and photographers. Come and check them out sometime and if anything takes your infinite fancy, feel free to make us an offer and take it home.

The ancient art of ping-pong is currently enjoying a renaissance. Unlike fencing or sumo-wrestling, ping-pong is one of those few social pastimes in which two friends can compete frantically and desperately whilst retaining a relatively leisurely exterior and we're a little obsessed.

Playing a colourful mix of soul and disco - from Zapp to LCD Soundsystem - by a host of London\'s most exciting bands and DJs, Glue offers a more dynamic and less dance-yourself-bored nightspot. Previous guests have included, Nic Tasker (Young Turks/ Boiler Room), Sunless 97, Theme Park and Stubborn Heart. Expect a warm atmosphere with space to dance, and space to tell your jokes/gossip. Expect skate videos.
